Product Reviews of Our Four Favorites for the Kitchen
We were subscribers of the MightyFix by MightNest and there are a few products that have become staples in our cleaning routines. The MightyFix is a great way to try out new products since you get new products every month based on your subscription. We mostly focused on kitchen and bath since we were interested in reducing single use plastics.
The Meliora All-Purpose Cleaner is a game changer. It works on all surfaces in the kitchen – including stainless steel. We buy the refills and just add it to a glass squirt bottle. You can add essential oils to enhance the smell and antibacterial/disinfectant properties.
The Original Spaghetti Scrub by Goodbye Detergent works great on our cast iron pans. It comes in a set of two, the abrasive is made from peach pits, and lasts forever (well, six months or so). We don’t use it with soap, just swish it around the pan to maintain the seasoning on the cast iron. Also works great on sheet pans.
I see these everywhere now, but Swedish Dish Cloths by MightyNest are durable and work great. I love these so much more than sponges or regular dishcloths – when they get a little stinky, just throw them in the washing machine or dishwasher and then reuse. I’m still using some of the ones I originally got three years later.
These Reusable Produce Bags from Flip and Tumble eliminate the need to use plastic bags in the grocery store. While I love the bags and they are easy to use, I don’t remember to bring them with me so I don’t use them as often as I should.
